The Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) has introduced an updated assignment submission method for 2025. Depending on your program level, AIOU offers two modes of submissionManual (for Matric, FA, and BA) and Online Submission via Aaghi LMS Portal (for BS, B.Ed, MA, M.Ed, MSc, MBA, and Postgraduate Programs).

 Manual Assignment Submission (For Matric, FA & BA/Associate Degree Students)

 

If you are enrolled in Matric, FA (Intermediate), or BA (Associate Degree) programs, you must submit handwritten assignments manually to your assigned tutor.

Step-by-Step Submission Process

 

  • Write Your Assignment by Hand:
    Use A4-size paper and write your assignment neatly using a blue or black pen. Avoid overwriting or cutting words.

     

Attach a Title Page:
On the first page, write the following details clearly:

    • Roll Number

       

    • Registration Number

       

    • Course Code & Title

       

    • Assignment Number (e.g., Assignment 1 or 2)

    • Tutor’s Name (if available)

       

  • Find Your Tutor Information:
    You can easily find your tutor’s name and address on the AIOU CMS Portal:

     

  • Submit Your Assignment:

     

    • You can deliver it personally by hand and get your tutor’s signature as proof of submission, or

       

    • Send it by registered mail (Pakistan Post) to your tutor’s address.
      Always keep the postal receipt or tutor’s signed acknowledgment slip as proof until the final result.

       

Important Notes for Manual Submission

  • Assignments must reach the tutor before the last submission date as per the AIOU schedule.

     

  • Late assignments are not accepted under any circumstances.

     

  • Submit each subject’s assignment separately to its respective tutor.

     

 Online Assignment Submission (For BS, B.Ed, MA, MSc, MBA & Postgraduate Students)

 

All higher-level students, including those enrolled in B.Ed, BS, MA, MSc, MBA, and Postgraduate Diplomas, must submit their assignments online through the Aaghi LMS Portal.

  1. Visit the Aaghi LMS Portal: https://aaghi.aiou.edu.pk

     

  2. Login using the username and password provided by AIOU.

     

  3. Click your Course Title from the dashboard.

     

  4. Select “Assignments” from the left-hand menu.

     

  5. Click “Add Submission” and upload your assignment in PDF format.

     

  6. After uploading, click “Save Changes”, then “Submit Assignment”.

     

  7. Verify the Submission Status — it should show “Submitted for grading.”
